Eligibility

Educational Qualification

  • Appearing for Class 12 (10+2) or an equivalent examination (result awaited).
  • Passed Class 12 (10+2) or an equivalent examination.
  • Diploma holder.
  • Pursuing or completed higher education in any stream, including Finance , Mathematics , Statistics , Econometrics Engineering & Management
  • A qualified Chartered Accountant (CA), Cost Accountant (CMA), or Company Secretary (CS).

English Requirement

  • Candidates should have studied English as a subject at the 10+2 (or equivalent) level.

Age Limit

  • Minimum Age: No minimum age prescribed.
  • Maximum Age: No upper age limit .

Nationality

  • Indian candidates are eligible to appear.

Validity of ACET Result

  • The ACET result is valid for 3 years from the date of declaration for obtaining Student Membership of the Institute of Actuaries of India (IAI).

Alteative (Non-ACET) Admission Route

  • The IAI also permits direct student membership without ACET for candidates meeting specified qualifications, such as:
  • Fully qualified CA, CMA, or CS
  • MBA (Finance) with at least 60%
  • IIM graduates
  • Certain Actuarial Science, Engineering, and Indian Statistical Institute (ISI) qualifications
  • Candidates who have passed specified papers of recognized inte
  • ational actuarial bodies.
